This procedure examines how the closure of schools, cultural sites, and sports facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic affected children and young people across the EU. It aims to assess the long-term consequences on mental health, education, and social development to better prepare for future crises.

The findings will primarily affect policymakers in education, health, and youth services, guiding the creation of support systems for students and young athletes who suffered losses in learning and wellbeing.
