Asylum and migration management (Amendment & Repeal)
This procedure aims to overhaul the European Union's system for managing asylum seekers and migrants. It updates the rules for determining which member state is responsible for examining an asylum application and adjusts the funding mechanisms to better support migration management and integration.
The changes will affect EU member states, asylum seekers, and refugees. It streamlines the process for distributing applicants across the EU and updates the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) to provide more efficient financial support.
