Amendment: Digitalisation of the visa procedure
This procedure aims to modernise the Schengen visa process by replacing paper-based applications and stickers with a digital system. By moving to an online platform, the EU intends to make visa applications more efficient, reduce administrative burdens, and improve security checks for those entering the Schengen Area.
This change affects all non-EU citizens applying for a short-stay visa. It streamlines the application process for travellers and simplifies the verification of travel documents for border authorities.
