A framework of measures for strengthening Europe’s net-zero technology products manufacturing ecosystem (Net Zero Industry Act)
This procedure establishes a framework to scale up the manufacturing of clean technologies in the EU. It aims to ensure the Union can meet its climate targets by producing more wind turbines, solar panels, and batteries locally, reducing dependence on foreign suppliers for the green transition.
This will primarily affect manufacturers of clean-tech products and energy companies. It introduces faster permitting for net-zero projects and supports strategic industrial projects to boost European competitiveness in the green economy.
