A European Labour Authority
This procedure aims to create a new EU agency, the European Labour Authority (ELA). Its purpose is to help ensure fair and effective application of EU laws on labour mobility and social security coordination across member states.
The ELA will assist national authorities and citizens by providing information and facilitating cooperation. It will help address issues related to working conditions and workers' rights, impacting mobile workers and employers.
