Mission & Goals

a) Raise awareness, combat and condemn all forms of violence suffered by women, girls and children during armed conflicts and in their aftermath, recognizing the personal and social impact inflicted on them b) Fight against impunity of perpetrators c) End violence against women, girls and children during armed conflicts d) Promote legal protection for vulnerable groups e) Develop collaboration with international networks, organizations, and services advocating for women and children rights f) Disseminate and promote the rules of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Law, demanding implementation g) Promote the adoption and ratification of strategic resolutions, conventions, and decisions by European and international networks h) Actively participate in the promotion of political implementations and actions that align with the Foundation's objectives i) Promote awareness domestically and internationally j) Provide specialized workshops for those affected by the trauma of war

EU Legislative Interests

We do not target any EU legislative proposals or policies at the moment.

Communication Activities

1) The Foundation has Sponsored the book "Protection of Women and Children in Armed Conflicts" 2) At the initiative of the Foundation, we have submitted an emergency motion through the Cyprus Women's Lobby for the approval by the General Assembly of the European Women's Lobby. The motion is "Condemnation of Sexual Violence as a Weapon and Tactic of War." After approval from the European Women's Lobby, the motion will be sent to: - The president and members of the European Parliament - the European Council - the Council of the European Union - the European Commission, - Henna Virkkune: Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy - Kaja Kallas: High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
