Mission & Goals
Zendal is a biopharmaceutical group of companies, specialized in the research, development, and large-scale production of vaccines and biologicals for both human and animal health. With corporate headquarters and strategic facilities, including R+D centres and manufacturing sites in Spain and Portugal, Zendal operates worldwide in more than 65 countries and plays a key role in strengthening European Union health resilience. Zendal’ core mission is to improve global health through innovation in biotechnology, ensuring sustainable and equitable access to innovative vaccines. As a trusted partner of public institutions, research centres, and global health agencies, Zendal contributes actively to European health policy, pandemic preparedness, and biotech innovation. Hence, special mention to the fact that one of the companies of Zendal Group, CZ Vaccines, has been granted by HaDEA with a contract in the scope of EU FAB initiative, in 2023.
EU Legislative Interests
HaDEA programme EU4Health Programme; The reservation of capacities and a priority right for manufacturing of vaccines in case of a future public health emergency (hereinafter EU FAB). CZ Vaccines (of Zendal Group) has been granted with a contract on this programme and CZ Vaccines is interested in participate in the next tender process for future reservation of manufacturing or equivalent measures. To become representative at Joint Industrial Cooperation Forum” as a sub-group of the HERA Advisory Forum, composed of representatives from industry and Member States. The Advisory Forum itself is a special group established within the European Commission to support HERA’s work. Participate in the legislation and implementation of Animal Health policies/directives.

BIOGA (www.bioga.org): Non-profit business association that supports the value chain of the biotechnology sector with activities in Galicia. ASEBIO (www.asebio.com): Spanish Bioindustry Association. AseBio has been uniting and representing the interests of companies, associations, foundations, universities, and technological and research centers involved in biotechnology activities in Spain for 25 years.
