Mission & Goals
Zelestra develops, constructs and operates renewable energy and energy storage projects, including utility-scale solar PV, onshore wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hybrid assets and green hydrogen. Zelestra Europe engages with EU institutions and national authorities on policy frameworks supporting the decarbonisation, competitiveness and resilience of the European power system. Its activities focus on renewable deployment, electricity market design, grid integration, permitting simplification, flexibility and storage, sustainable finance and clean technology value chains. The organization supports implementation of the European Green Deal, Fit for 55, REPowerEU and the Clean Industrial Deal, and promotes predictable regulatory frameworks enabling large-scale renewable and storage investment.

Key files include: implementation of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III); the Electricity Market Design reform (including CfDs, PPAs and flexibility provisions); the Net-Zero Industry Act; the Critical Raw Materials Act; REPowerEU measures; the Grid Action Plan; State Aid rules (CEEAG); and the EU Sustainable Finance framework (Taxonomy, CSRD, SFDR)
