Mission & Goals

YEAH Youth Empowerment & Action Hub gGmbH is a dynamic organisation based in Berlin, dedicated to empowering the next generation through peer-to-peer initiatives. YEAH’s core mission is to facilitate meaningful connections and experiences among youth, providing a platform for them to learn from and support each other. The organisation focuses on building leadership skills, promoting digital literacy, and enhancing emotional intelligence through interactive workshops, mentorship programs, and collaborative projects. These activities are designed to prepare young individuals for challenges in the digital age, fostering a community that values inclusivity, innovation, and active participation in societal development.

Main EU Legislative Proposals or Policies Targeted by Youth Empowerment & Action Hub gGmbH (YEAH): 1. European Skills Agenda: Specifically, the initiatives within this agenda aimed at boosting digital skills and vocational training for young people and adults across the EU. This includes targeted measures to increase digital literacy and enhance employability in the digital economy. 2. Youth Guarantee: Focusing on the revised framework to ensure that all young people under the age of 30 receive a good-quality offer of employment, continued education, apprenticeship, or traineeship within four months of becoming unemployed or leaving formal education. 3. Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027): Engaging with policy measures that aim to foster the digital educational ecosystem and enhance the digital capabilities of educational institutions and organizations involved in youth training and education. 4. Policy Briefs and Position Papers: Regularly published policy briefs and position papers on the implementation and impact of the Youth Guarantee and Child Guarantee. These documents, aimed at EU policymakers, outline recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of these initiatives based on our on-ground experience with vulnerable youth populations. 3. Participation in EU Forums and Conferences: Actively participated in conferences and forums such as the European Education Summit and EU Social Summit, presenting insights and sharing best practices related to vocational training and digital education. These participations facilitate direct engagement with EU officials and other stakeholders. 4. Collaborative Campaigns: Engaged in collaborative campaigns with other non-profits and educational institutions to promote policies related to digital literacy and employment under the European Skills Agenda. These campaigns often involve joint advocacy efforts, public awareness activities, and coordinated messages across various media platforms. 5. As a newly established organization, Youth Empowerment & Action Hub gGmbH (YEAH) is in the process of joining relevant European and international networks focused on youth, education, and civil society. We are actively building relationships and seeking membership in the following organizations and platforms: • SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres – We engage with SALTO training and networking opportunities to enhance our youth work capacity and promote inclusion and digital skills development. • Eurodesk Network – We use Eurodesk information tools and plan to become a local multiplier to help young people access European opportunities. • Friends of Europe – European Young Leaders Programme – We follow and engage with their events and thematic work on youth and democracy. • Horizon Europe Cluster 2 Community Platform – Registered and active in seeking partners and collaboration in the fields of youth, education, digital skills, and social inclusion. • National Youth Councils and Berlin-based youth NGOs – We are in active contact with several German and European-level organisations for future cooperation. We also cooperate informally with youth-led initiatives and grassroots organisations working on mental health, employability, and digital inclusion across Europe.

Youth Empowerment & Action Hub gGmbH (YEAH) is a newly founded non-profit organization. As of now, we do not have formal members or affiliated entities. However, we are in the process of building partnerships and joining relevant networks in the youth, education, and civil society sectors at both national and European levels. Once established, we will publish a list of affiliated organizations on our website.
