Mission & Goals
X-wind is a renewable energy company committed to advancing sustainable electricity production in the Western Balkans. Our primary goal is to harness wind power to contribute to the region’s green transition and energy independence. We focus on identifying and developing wind energy potential through responsible investment, environmental diligence, and long-term economic viability. X-wind aims to lead projects that reduce carbon emissions, diversify energy sources, and align with EU climate and energy objectives. The company’s remit includes site development, licensing, environmental and technical assessments, and collaboration with local and international stakeholders to deliver scalable wind energy solutions.
EU Legislative Interests
X-wind LLC’s project is directly aligned with several key EU legislative proposals and policy frameworks focused on energy transition, sustainability, and regional integration. At the core of its alignment is the European Green Deal, which sets the overarching goal for the EU to become the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The project also supports the Renewable Energy Directive (EU) 2018/2001, by contributing to increased generation of electricity from wind power, thus helping meet the EU’s 2030 target of at least 32% renewable energy in final energy consumption or more. The initiative is equally relevant to the EU Western Balkans Green Agenda, specifically its pillars on decarbonization, climate, energy, and mobility. By investing in clean wind energy infrastructure in Bosnia & Herzegovina, X-wind helps advance the region’s alignment with EU environmental standards and energy market integration. In addition, the project supports the EU Strategy for the Western Balkans, which promotes sustainable connectivity and energy cooperation. X-wind contributes to the objectives of the Energy and Climate Policy Framework 2030, addressing key priorities such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, and ensuring secure, affordable, and sustainable energy for all.
