Mission & Goals
WorldDAB is the global industry forum for digital radio, facilitating the adoption and implementation of broadcast digital radio based on DAB / DAB+, the digital radio standards of choice for broadcasters across Europe, Asia Pacific and other regions. WorldDAB delivers tailored solutions and advice on all aspects of the switch from analogue to digital radio including regulation, licensing, technical trials, network build out, marketing and production of new digital radio content.
EU Legislative Interests
Meetings to discuss with relevant sections of the European Commission (especially but not limited to DG Connect) and relevant committees within the European Parliament (personnel and specific departments still being mapped out), for discussions on Digital Single Market European Electronic Communications Code Radio Equipment Directive Digital Markets Act (DMA) and European Media Freedom Act (EMFA)
Communication Activities
Regular events and meetings. For example, Association Europeenne des Radios (AER) EU Parliament Members Lounge lunch meeting. We aim to have meetings and when possible to set up, briefing sessions, with European Commission personnel with responsibility for policy areas relevant to EU Legislative proposals listed above (stakeholder mapping is ongoing).
