Mission & Goals

WFA, the World Federation of Advertisers, is the only global network for senior marketers. Our goal is to make marketing better by championing more effective and sustainable marketing communications. We are a global association that represents over 150 of the world’s biggest brands and more than 60 national advertiser associations worldwide. Together, they create a peer-to-peer network of the world's best marketers, offering a unique source of expertise, inspiration and leadership. We help you by connecting you to their collective wisdom, so you can take leadership positions.

EU Legislative Interests

Marketing related regulatory developments across all EU institutions. WFA is currently active on: - New Consumer Agenda and Digital Fairness Fitness Check (Unfair Commercial Practices Directive) - European Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan (Empowering consumers for the green transition, Green Claims Directive) - Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) - Digital Services Act (DSA) and Digital Markets Act (DMA) - ePrivacy Regulation (EPR) - General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - ePrivacy Regulation - Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence - Sustainable Food System Framework initiative - AI Act - Digital Fairness Act (DFA) - Digital Omnibus

Communication Activities

Promotion of responsible advertising standards as an effective policy response for regulating marketing activities. Specific work streams include involvement within the European Commission's Community of Practice and engagement on policy issues with EU institutions related to sectoral and cross sectoral issues.
