Our commitment lies in nurturing a vibrant community where women elevate one another, building the way for enhanced diversity within corporate boardrooms. We are dedicated to unleashing the exceptional talents of professional women in Ukraine and onto the global stage. Focus: At the heart of our vision is the pursuit of equal representation for women on boards, in line with European Directives on diversity. Collaborating with international partners and donors, we are committed to Building Better Ukraine. We firmly believe that Ukrainian professional women will play a pivotal role in this transformative process. Our Goals Our goals encompass engaging with Women on Boards in other geographies and sister organizations, fostering partnerships for the exchange of ideas, providing training and mentoring opportunities, and developing joint projects. Additionally, we aim to establish relationships with recruiters to accumulate board mandates for our members and actively promote and lobby for
EU Legislative Interests
Women on Boards Ukraine operates as a non-profit membership organisation focused on advocating for equal participation of women on corporate boards. Our activities include lobbying for legislative changes in Ukraine to align with European Directive (EU) 2022/2381 on improving gender balance among directors, promoting diversity and inclusion in governance, and enhancing the image and representation of professional Ukrainian women in leadership positions. In this context, we want and are planning an upcoming meeting with representatives of EU institutions to discuss Ukraine’s alignment with EU gender equality standards in corporate governance, the implementation of the Directive (EU) 2022/2381, and the broader role of women in post-war recovery and decision-making processes. This meeting aims to foster cooperation and raise awareness of the Ukrainian context among EU stakeholders.
