Mission & Goals
The World Nicotine Congress (WNC) is a global champion for a fast-changing industry, Through cutting edge digital and in person events, WNC brings together experts and other valued stakeholders to develop and improve our industry. Our activities include hosting events within the European Union, including in Brussels, where Members of the European Parliament and other EU stakeholders may be invited to participate as speakers or attendees. The organisation facilitates dialogue and exchange of information across global, European and national levels.
EU Legislative Interests
The organisation does not target specific EU legislative proposals. Its activities are limited to organising conferences and facilitating dialogue among stakeholders, including policymakers, scientists and industry representatives. We are not seeking to influence legislation; however our stakeholders are typically interested in nicotine, business, and consumer related matters that are relevant to them, including but not limited to the Tobacco Products Directive, Tobacco Excise Duty, and sustainability issues such as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
Communication Activities
We hold an annual conference (this year in Brussels, next year planned in the Middle East) which provides a platform for the nicotine industry and other stakeholders such as public health and law enforcement to amplify their voices and bring balance to the debates in key areas affecting the nicotine industry and the consumer.
