EU Legislative Interests

This application to the Transparency Register is submitted in connection with my intention to serve on the .eu Multistakeholder Advisory Group (.eu MAG) as a member appointed to represent a common interest. .eu Multistakeholder Advisory Group (.eu MAG): Pursuant to Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2019/5171 the Commission is to establish an .eu Multistakeholder Advisory Group (EC Decision C(2024) 6768) with the role of advising the Commission in order to strengthen and widen input into the good governance of the Registry administering and managing the .eu top-level domain (TLD). The group should advise the Commission on the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2019/517. The group should issue opinions to the Commission on strategic matters relating to the management, organisation and administration of the .eu TLD and advise the Commission on matters relating to the monitoring and supervision of the .eu Registry, including ways to improve the organisation, administration and management of the .eu TLD by the .eu Registry. Pursuant to Article 8 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/8572, the group should further advise on how the .eu TLD should contribute to the promotion of the objectives of the Union in the field of internet governance, including as regards the use of part of the surplus, which the Commission may require the Registry to set aside for this purpose.
