Mission & Goals
The Westerwelle Foundation for International Understanding is a non-profit organization based in Berlin, Germany. The foundation was established in 2013 by Dr. Guido Westerwelle, former German Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Ralph Dommermuth, CEO and Founder of United Internet AG. We regard entrepreneurship as key to opening up opportunities for people in developing & future markets. Based on this conviction we strive to help local entrepreneurs transform great ideas into sustainable businesses. To do so we establish arenas for new ideas, create venues for cooperation and innovation, present access to national and international programs and provide mentoring, support and advice.
