Mission & Goals
The Foundations remit is to advocate the accelerated integration and the common accession of all Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) to the European Union; as long as the countries of the Western Balkans do not yet enjoy full membership of the European Union, advocate the granting of a transitional status to these countries, giving them access to the three fundamental freedoms of the European Union's internal market: the free movement of goods, capital and services; the promotion of international peace and security.

Communication Activities
The foundation has produced policy briefs and analytical publications addressing Western Balkans integration, EU accession criteria, and Western Balkans readiness. These materials were shared with relevant EU stakeholders. You can see these at www.wb30.org/press. The only research paper as of 03/03/2026 is titled - 'A Level Playing Field: Comparing the Western Balkans with Previous Eastern European Accessions'. We will also be sending open letters to MEPs, Policy advisors or other decision makers. But have not yet done this to date. WB30 also runs a LinkedIn, X and Facebook which seeks to engage with EU policy makers etc. https://www.linkedin.com/company/wb30/ In the future, WB30 will seek to organise events, promoting open discussion on the accession of the Western Balkans to the EU. But we have not conducted any of these events to date.
