Mission & Goals
Vuka Consulting is a consultancy firm based in Belgium and active in Tanzania, specializing in facilitating business and investment opportunities between European entities and East Africa. We provide market entry services, strategic partnerships, and sector-specific support, particularly in sectors such as mining, energy, and infrastructure. We are in contact with EU institutions to explore opportunities for collaboration and funding, and to align our initiatives with EU development and trade priorities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our aim is to contribute to sustainable investment, good governance, and responsible business practices in line with EU values. Our activities include: Informing EU institutions of opportunities and challenges for European investors in Tanzania. Participating in consultations or calls for proposals where relevant. Facilitating connections between EU stakeholders and local actors in East Africa. Promoting transparency, sustainability, and compliance in trade.
EU Legislative Interests
Internationale handel en investeringen Onze organisatie faciliteert markttoegang en handelsbetrekkingen tussen Europese bedrijven en Tanzania. We volgen actief het Europese handelsbeleid, inclusief bilaterale partnerschappen en investeringsakkoorden met Afrikaanse landen. Ontwikkelingssamenwerking en externe betrekkingen We ondersteunen projecten die bijdragen aan duurzame ontwikkeling en economische groei in Oost-Afrika, en volgen hierbij nauwgezet het EU-beleid inzake ontwikkelingssamenwerking, met name het NDICI (Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument). Duurzaamheid en verantwoord ondernemen Vuka Consulting stimuleert duurzaam en ethisch ondernemen. We hechten belang aan EU-beleidsinitiatieven rond Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence, mensenrechten in waardeketens, en milieustandaarden, vooral in sectoren als mijnbouw, energie en landbouw. Digitale transitie en innovatie We volgen het EU-beleid rond digitalisering, met het oog op het bevorderen van technologische samenwerking tussen Europa en Afrikaanse partners, onder meer in de context van capacity building en digital inclusion. Beleid inzake kleine en middelgrote ondernemingen (KMO’s) Onze diensten zijn gericht op het ondersteunen van Europese KMO’s bij hun internationale expansie. We volgen EU-initiatieven die KMO’s helpen bij export, marktverkenning en internationale samenwerking.
