Mission & Goals
VR Group is a passenger, logistics and maintenance service company owned by the Finnish state which operates in Finland and Sweden. We ensure smooth daily and leisure travel. In 2024, our customers made a total of 15.3 million journeys on long-distance trains with us in Finland. We act as a pillar of support for industry. In 2024, we transported 23.2 million tonnes of goods by rail in Finland. In 2024, our net sales were EUR 1,294.7 million and we employed over 8,400 top professionals. Our business units are VR Long-distance Traffic, VR City Traffic and VR Logistics.
