EU Legislative Interests
The Volvo Group is impacted by a large number of EU policies and legislative initiatives, which have the potential to underpin the companies’ ambition to drive prosperity through transport and infrastructure solutions. Key files for 2026 include the review of the CO2 emission standards for heavy-duty vehicles, Public Procurement, initiatives related to making the transport sector fit for the digital age, Industrial Accelerator Act, review of AFIR and other files related to the decarbonization of transport. Other areas of importance comprise sustainable finance, circularity and sustainability at large, trade relations, skills, company law, energy policy, grids, urban mobility, etc.
Communication Activities
Mobility Transformation Forum, a Volvo Group initiative on bi-annual basis to strengthen long-term collaboration between policymakers and industry to build commitment. It is a forum for leading and committed stakeholders ready to act on the mobility challenges our society is facing, and together, shape the future of transport.
