Mission & Goals
The Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) is a global non-profit working to mobilize private sector finance for climate action and sustainable development by scaling high-integrity carbon credit markets. VCMI sets the global benchmark for credible corporate use of carbon credits through its Codes of Practice, helping build trust, confidence and consistency across the market. VCMI also supports governments to unlock corporate demand for carbon credits by hosting the Secretariat for The Coalition to Grow Carbon Markets. Through its Access Strategies Program and partnership with the Climate Vulnerable Forum and its V20 Finance Ministers (CVF-V20), VCMI supports emerging market and developing economies to build the policies, capacity and infrastructure needed to leverage carbon markets to deliver finance for their climate and sustainable development priorities.
