Mission & Goals
VodafoneZiggo’s mission is to connect people and businesses in the Netherlands to the digital society of today and tomorrow. We provide broadband internet, television, and mobile and fixed telephony services, as well as business network solutions. Our focus is on building a future-proof digital infrastructure — including gigabit networks and 5G — while supporting sustainability, innovation, and digital inclusion.
EU Legislative Interests
VodafoneZiggo primarily engages with EU policies and legislative proposals related to digital infrastructure, telecommunications, and the single market. Key focus areas include the European Electronic Communications Code (EECC), Digital Networks Act (DNA), Digital Services Act (DSA), Data Act, Cybersecurity Act and NIS2 Directive, as well as initiatives under the EU Digital Decade to promote gigabit connectivity and 5G rollout. We also follow EU initiatives on spectrum policy, net neutrality, and sustainability and circular economy measures relevant to the ICT sector.
Communication Activities
VodafoneZiggo engages in a range of communication activities related to EU digital policies. These include - mainly through our parent companies Liberty Global and Vodafone Group - participation in public consultations and stakeholder workshops organized by the European Commission and BEREC. We also contribute to position papers, policy briefings, and publications through sector associations such as ETNO and GSMA Europe (via our parent companies). Where relevant, we share information on key EU initiatives — such as the Digital Networks Act, Data Act, and Gigabit Infrastructure Act — with policymakers and stakeholders to highlight the importance of enabling a competitive and innovative digital ecosystem.
