Mission & Goals
Vias institute is an independent and multidisciplinary knowledge centre that strives for a world without road casualties. Through scientific research and practical advice for citizens, governments and businesses, we improve road safety, mobility and security. Vias institute offers solutions to legislative, (in)frastructural, technological and social problems at local, national and international level. The technical laboratories are responsible for the calibration and technical inspection of alcohol and speed meters, among other things.

Additional Information
Les recettes pour le projet DG Baseline comprenait les contributions à payer aux états membres ayant participé au projet (18 pays). Une grande partie du montant reçu a servi à payer les montants dus aux 17 pays participants, Vias recevant une partie pour couvrir le management du projet et la collecte des données pour la Belgique. Ce projet est par ailleurs audité par la Commission européenne.
