Mission & Goals
Donau Soja is a European, multi-stakeholder, not-for-profit membership organisation supporting the European protein transition, with emphasis on sustainable, European, non-GM soya production. Donau Soja brings together 330+ members in 33 countries, 866 certified partners across Europe, and 24 European governments, united by a shared vision of a safe & sustainable European protein supply. Donau Soja contributes strategically to Europe’s protein supply & food system resilience. Key objectives include promoting & expanding regional soya cultivation based on clearly defined quality criteria, as well as supporting the development of the necessary infrastructure. Donau Soja focuses on: • promoting non-GM soya cultivation & processing in the Danube region & across Europe for Europe, incl. knowledge transfer in sustainable soya production • building reliable & regional supply & value chains through its member companies, thereby strengthening Europe’s protein self-sufficiency
