Mission & Goals

Purpose (1) The association is a non-profit organisation. The association pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes. (2) The aim of the association is to strengthen a sustainable food system in Austria by promoting plant-based and innovative protein sources to support the objectives of sustainability, public health, food security and environmental protection. The association pursues this objective through: a) the provision of evidence-based information on the contribution of plant-based proteins in production and consumption to the goals of sustainability and healthy nutrition, the promotion of dialogue between stakeholders across the food system, including the agricultural sector, regarding the potential of plant-based and innovative protein sources for sustainable development at all stages of the value chain, b) promoting research and development of sustainable, including innovative, protein sources.
