Additional Information
Verband der internationalen Autovermieter (VIA) (Association of International Car Rental Companies) is the national association of international car rental companies in Germany. VIA does not maintain a permanent presence at EU level. It has no EU office and does not employ dedicated staff for EU‑level interest representation. For representation‑related activities in Germany, VIA maintains a contractual relationship with APCO Worldwide. VIA’s EU‑level activities relevant for the Transparency Register are strictly limited to a small number of written submissions (one to two per year) in the context of public consultations. These activities are publicly accessible and do not involve bilateral meetings, campaigns, events, or regular travel. VIA’s written submissions on EU matters are based on existing VIA positions and/or those of its umbrella organisation, Leaseurope. Their preparation and submission require only a very limited amount of staff time. As a result, all costs related to activities covered by the Register remain well below EUR 10,000 per year. The cost estimate reflects the extremely limited scope and low intensity of VIA’s EU‑related activities.
