Mission & Goals
Die VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH ist ein Projektträger sowie Dienstleistungs- und Beratungsunternehmen für verschiedene Bundes- und Landesministerien, die Europäische Kommission sowie die Wirtschaft und die Industrie. Im Fokus stehen gesellschaftliche und technische Herausforderungen in den Bereichen Digitalisierung, demografischer Wandel, Mensch-Technik-Interaktion, Mobilität, Elektronik, Gesundheit und Bildung sowie Fragen der Innovationspolitik. Mit etwa 1000 Mitarbeitenden ist das Unternehmen eine Schnittstelle zwischen Politik und Verwaltung, Wirtschaft und Forschung. Es organisiert für Ministerien die Forschungsförderung, erstellt im Auftrag Studien zu Innovationen und Technik und betreibt Geschäftsstellen für Netzwerke, Plattformen und Programme. Außerdem nimmt es an Fördermittelauschreibungen der EU teil. Gesellschafter des 1978 gegründeten Unternehmens sind der Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) und der Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e. V. (VDE).
