Mission & Goals
Validity is a specialised international non-governmental organisation that deploys legal strategies to promote, protect and defend the human rights of persons with intellectual disabilities and persons with psychosocial disabilities. Validity operates in Europe and Africa, undertaking strategic litigation, advocacy, research and human rights documentation initiatives. "I'm a Person" - promoting the right to support in exercising decision-making and ending guardianship 2. "Schools for All" - promoting inclusive education and ending special segregated provision 3. "My Home, My Choice" - promoting the right to independent living and ending all forms of institutionalisation Validity holds special consultative status with ECOSOC and participatory status with the Council of Europe.
