Mission & Goals
Vaasa Sähkö Oy has a long history, dating back to 1892. We are one of the first electricity companies in Finland. Over the years, Vaasan Sähkö has developed into a strong energy group. We are located in Vaasa, in the heart of the most important energy hub in the Nordic region. Vaasan Sähkö Group employs around 150 people. For us, energy is more than just business. It is a fascinating object of study, a partner and a source of inspiration. Our focus is on electricity production and supply, district heating and electricity distribution. Vaasan Sähkö Oy has two subsidiaries, Vaasan Sähkö Myynti Oy and Vaasan Sähköverkko Oy. Vaasan Sähkö Oy and district heat to homes in Vaasa. Vaasan Sähkö Myynti Oy sells electricity throughout mainland Finland - they sell electricity to all corners of the country and our customers are spread widely across Finland. Our subsidiary Vaasan Sähköverkko Oy is responsible for electricity distribution in the Vaasa region.

Vaasan Sähkö Group is a business entity consisting of the parent company, Vaasan Sähkö Oy, and its two subsidiaries, Vaasan Sähkö Myynti Oy (ownership 100 %) and Vaasan Sähköverkko Oy (ownership 100%). Vaasan Sähkö Group's associated company is EPV Energy Ltd. Vaasan Sähkö Oy is a company owned mainly by the City of Vaasa and its administration is based on the Limited Liability Companies Act.
