Mission & Goals
The organisation is an independent think tank, research and consulting organisation specialised in sustainable urban development and spatial policies. Its core objective is to support evidence-based policymaking and promote integrated territorial development that balances environmental, social and economic dimensions. The organisation designs, develops and implements urban and regional development projects, many co-financed by EU programmes, and provides strategic consulting services. Its main areas of activity include spatial planning, sustainable urbanisation, housing affordability, mobility and accessibility, green infrastructure, nature-based solutions, urban regeneration, cultural heritage management, and sustainable finance. The organisation contributes to EU and national policy processes through research, strategic planning, and participation in collaborative projects, aiming to foster resilient, inclusive urban development.
EU Legislative Interests
The organisation’s activities relate to EU policies and initiatives in the field of housing, sustainable urban development and territorial cohesion.These include in particular: EU initiatives related to affordable and sustainable housing, including the development of the European Affordable Housing Plan the EU Cohesion Policy (2021–2027) the Urban Agenda for the EU (Housing Partnership) the New European Bauhaus initiative the Renovation Wave Strategy The organisation contributes to policy discussions on housing affordability, integrated territorial development and sustainable urban planning, with a focus on land-use policies, compact cities and the mitigation of urban sprawl.
Communication Activities
The organisation carries out communication and dissemination activities related to EU policies through participation in EU-funded projects, preparation of studies and policy reports, organisation of workshops and stakeholder meetings, and contribution to professional and policy-oriented events. In this context, the organisation will participate in the Joint Parliament–Commission High-level event on the Housing Crisis in the EU (05 May 2026). The purpose of this participation is to contribute to discussions on EU-level responses to the housing crisis, with a focus on housing affordability, sustainable urban development and integrated territorial planning. The organisation’s contribution will be based on its work in EU-funded projects and policy research related to compact cities, land-use policies and sustainable housing solutions. The organisation also engages in knowledge exchange and capacity-building activities with public authorities and other stakeholders. Communication channels include publications, policy briefs, project outputs, public presentations and collaboration within European networks and partnerships.

Member Of
The organization maintains active cooperation with a wide range of international, European, national, and academic partners through project-based activities in the fields of sustainable urban and territorial development. These include the following professional networks and platforms: ICOMOS Europa Nostra European Network of Housing Research The Director (Ivana Katurić) is a member of the Housing Advisory Board, an independent expert group established by the European Commission to provide policy recommendations for the European Affordable Housing Plan.
Organisation Members
The organisation has no affiliated entities in terms of ownership or control. However, it cooperates with a wide range of partners in the context of EU-funded projects and professional activities, including public authorities, research organisations, universities, NGOs and international institutions. These partnerships are project-based and do not constitute formal affiliation within the meaning of the Transparency Register.
