Mission & Goals

G.E. Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures is a distinguished academic institution recognized both nationally and internationally, established eight decades ago. About 13,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate, master’s, PhD, and residency programs offered by seven faculties: Medicine, Medicine in English, Pharmacy, Dental Medicine, Sciences and Letters, Engineering and Economics and Law. The University acknowledges the importance of addressing national and international challenges in education and research and in 2019 opened a campus in Hamburg, Germany. We honour history through unique projects: building the first Smart Hospital in Romania. G.E. Palade UMPhST of Targu Mures is the only medical university teaching programs in both Hungarian and English, alongside the Romanian language. In 2024, our institution established a high school, thereby providing a platform for the education and preparation of prospective univeristy students.
