Mission & Goals
The University of Padova is among the most important institutions of higher education in the European Union with 32 departments, 203 degree programs, 42 Phd courses, 68 specializations and 63 masters, 70.000 enrolled students, 2.500 permanent professors, 900 researchers and 2.700 administrative staff. The Strategic Plan 2023-2027 aims to promote and protect a public university that is open, secular, pluralist and free from “any conditioning and discrimination based on ideological, religious, political, economic or physical reasons” (Statute, art. 1). EU Legislative Interests
The University of Padua contributes to the implementation of the European Commission's policy priorities for 2024-2029 and the ERA Policy Agenda 2025-2027 through its participation in the Horizon Europe R&I Framework Programme and other programmes under the 2021-2027 MFF.
