Mission & Goals
Unaitalia, The National Union of Poultry Meat and Egg Agri-food Chains, represents, protects, and promotes Italy's poultry and egg supply chains. Launched in July 2012, it consolidates sixty years of experience from the two predecessor organizations representing Italian poultry production. It serves as a unified voice to strengthen the industry's institutional standing. It promotes an integrated model focused on sustainability, animal welfare, and transparency. It ensures that every link in the supply chain—from the farm to fork—is protected and valued. The Association handles the daily representation of the supply chains and protects its member companies in their relations with Institutions and Administrations, as well as with national, EU, and international economic, political, trade union, and social organizations.

At National level Unaitalia is member of Confcooperative- Fedagripesca At the European level, Unaitalia is a member of: - AVEC (Association of Poultry Processors and Poultry Trade in the EU); - ELPHA (European Livestock and Poultry Breeders and Hatcheries Association). It also actively participates in Copa-Cogeca working groups for the poultry and pig sectors. At a global level, it is an active member of: - The International Poultry Council (IPC); - The World Egg Organisation (WEO)

A list of Unaitalia members is available at the following link: https://www.unaitalia.com/gli-associati/ Since July 2016, it has been a member of the "Sustainable Meat" (Carni Sostenibili) project—a platform in partnership with Assica and Assocarni. This initiative adopts an educational and informative approach to contribute to the debate on meat production and consumption by providing balanced information on health, nutrition, and sustainability. Together with 17 other Italian agri-food associations, Unaitalia is part of "Food for Thought" (Cibo per la mente), a project aimed to raise public and institutional awareness regarding the vital need for investment in innovation and research within the agricultural and food industries.

Unaitalia ha partecipato come partner di un ente di ricerca italiano (CRPA) al progetto Broilernet, della durata di 4 anni con avvio ad agosto 2022 e l'obiettivo di favorire reti di innovazione europee per il benessere del pollo da carne.
