U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o. (USSK), located in Košice, Slovakia, is one of the largest integrated producers of flat-rolled steel products in Central Europe. The parent organization is United States Steel Corporation - a major steel producer based in the United States. It is one of the largest private employers in Slovakia. With the annual raw steel production capacity of 4.5 million metric tons, USSK with its subsidiaries serves several steel-consuming sectors including service centers and the construction, automotive, transportation, packaging, further processing and home appliance industries. It provides a wide assortment of hot-rolled, cold-rolled and coated products including hot-dip galvanized, color-coated, tinplate and non-grain-oriented sheets.
