Mission & Goals
The U.S. Hop Industry Plant Protection Committee was established in 1988 to foster international harmonization of plant protection maximum residue levels (MRLs) and alleviate trade barriers for export access.
EU Legislative Interests
Engaged with representatives from the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) concerning the MRL restrictions of chlorate and as well as the draft Regulation amending Annexes II and V to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament restricting bifenazate in hops.

USHIPPC has requested and conducted meetings with DG SANTE officials.
