Mission & Goals

KTTO represents the economic interests of around 4,000 businesses in North Cyprus, accounting for 80% of its economic activity. Following accession of Cyprus to the EU in 2004 as a divided island, Chamber committed itself to foster sustainable economic growth and enhancing the competitiveness of its enterprises in line with the EU framework. It seeks to enhance trade relations with the EU and support integration into the Union, thereby also contributing to the comprehensive settlement efforts. As the designated institutional partner of the European Commission, the KTTO continues being pivotal in facilitating trade across the divide on the island. The Chamber is dedicated to enhancing the EU’s engagement in implementing private sector and energy related policies and projects within the Turkish Cypriot community, in accordance with the goals of the EU Green Deal. It aims to stimulate economic growth whilst ensuring adherence to environmental sustainability and resilience in North Cyprus.
