Mission & Goals
Vereinszweck ist die Förderung des Umweltschutzes und die Verbraucherinformation durch Projekte und Maßnahmen, die Verbraucher über die bessere Sammlung und Verwertung von Verpackungsabfällen informieren. Insbesondere setzt sich der Verein dafür ein, dass die Hersteller von Produkten ihre Produktverpackung mit einem standardisierten „Trennhinweis“ versehen, der den Verbrauchern eine Hilfestellung bei der richtigen Entsorgung der gekennzeichneten Verpackung gibt. Dadurch soll zum einen das Umweltbewusstsein der Verbraucher gefördert, zum anderen Verpackungsabfall besser recycelt und in den Wertstoffkreislauf zurückgeführt werden, um so den Ressourcen-verbrauch und den CO2-Ausstoß zu reduzieren und die Umwelt zu entlasten.
