Mission & Goals

Transport & Environment's (T&E) vision is a zero-emission mobility system that is affordable and has minimal impacts on our health, climate and environment. We do so by advocating for EU and global policies regulating transport decarbonisation. We believe transport policy should minimise harmful impacts on the climate, environment and health, maximise efficiency of resources, including energy and land, and guarantee safe and sufficient access for all. Established in 1990, T&E is an independent, non-partisan and not-for-profit organisation that represents 57 organisations from 24 countries across Europe and internationally. These are national environmental groups campaigning for sustainable transport and energy policies at national, regional and local level. All together our members and supporters represent more than 3.5 million Europeans. Our national work is further supported by our network of six national offices: France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the UK.

Organisation Members

Our list of members can be found on: http://www.transportenvironment.org/members Although we are not formally affiliated with them, we regularly collaborate with consultants and consultancy agencies who support us in producing high-quality scientific reports, guide us through legislative processes, and assist with administrative tasks. While they do not represent us, they may occasionally—but rarely—accompany us to meetings with EU representatives to provide technical support. However, they do not act as intermediaries on our behalf.
