Mission & Goals
Transparency International Slovenia – Društvo Integriteta is an independent, non-profit civil society organisation established in Slovenia. It works to prevent corruption and strengthen integrity, transparency, accountability and the rule of law in the public and private sectors. Its activities include research, monitoring, policy analysis, public awareness and advocacy on integrity in public administration, public spending, public procurement and public decision-making. Transparency International Slovenia is the Slovenian national chapter of the global Transparency International movement. It is legally and organisationally independent and operates under its own governance, staff and budget. It cooperates with other parts of the movement, including Transparency International EU, while carrying out its own activities under its own responsibility.
EU Legislative Interests
Transparency International Slovenia’s independent EU-level activities are currently limited and mainly preparatory. The organisation monitors and may contribute, in its own name, to policy discussions relevant to anti-corruption, transparency, accountability, civic space and the rule of law where these intersect with EU-level developments. One area of possible future engagement concerns the EU anti-SLAPP framework, including Directive (EU) 2024/1069 and Commission Recommendation (EU) 2022/758. Any such activities would be carried out independently by Transparency International Slovenia in its own name and under its own responsibility. This registration does not seek to cover activities carried out by Transparency International EU, the Transparency International Secretariat or other national chapters, nor activities carried out solely at national level.
Communication Activities
At present, EU-level activities covered by the Register are limited and mainly preparatory. Transparency International Slovenia may prepare, in its own name, limited expert briefings, position input and stakeholder exchanges related to anti-corruption, transparency, accountability, civic space and the rule of law where relevant at EU level. No broader EU-wide advocacy campaign is being declared under this application. Activities carried out solely at national level or solely in the framework of implementing EU-funded projects are not included here.
