Mission & Goals

TPN is a non-governmental network firmly rooted in the worlds of business and politics, but also open to administrators and academics on both sides of the Atlantic. Its objectives are as follows: First, to facilitate informal constructive dialogue at a strategic level between the worlds of business and politics on both sides of the Atlantic with the involvement of Government and academic representatives; Second, to help this partnership adjust to new challenges and opportunities; to identify common interests and to reduce the scope for misunderstandings between business and governments on either side, and to promote and assist the convergence of EU/US Government policies; Third, to act as a communications mechanism for ideas on policy issues. Wherever possible, TPN works with established organisations and institutions, avoiding duplication and enhancing specific objectives. TPN does not itself take positions on specific issues nor does it represent specific interests.
