Mission & Goals
Toll4Europe GmbH was founded in 2017. Current shareholders are T-Systems Road User Services GmbH (55%), Daimler Truck AG (15%), DKV Euro Services GmbH + Co. KG (15%) and euroShell Cards B.V. (15%). Toll4Europe’s remit is the development and provision of interoperable and cross-border EETS services, for vehicles of greater than 3.5t, by providing a single On-board Unit and a single contract to the user. The relevant legal basis is to be found in the EU EETS directive 2019/520 of 19th March, 2019. The goal is to deliver, to all stakeholders (toll chargers, service users e.g., sales partners and end-users), high-quality and stable solutions for the EETS-market. Furthermore, Toll4Europe’s mission is to shape mobility advancements, drive digitalization in the transportation industry and to become one of the foremost EETS-providers in the market.
EU Legislative Interests
Toll4Europe is focusing on the following EU initiatives: - Directive 2019/520/EC on the European Electronic Toll Service and the legaly compliant transportation international law as well as the application thereof to EETS Providers in a proportionate and non-discriminatory manner - Commission implementing regulation (EU) 2020/204 of 28th November, 2019 of detailed obligations of EETS providers, minimum content of the EETS domain statement, electronic interfaces, etc.
