THEON INTERNATIONAL is a leading developer and manufacturer of customizable night vision, thermal imaging systems and Electro-Optical ISR systems for military and security applications in Europe with a global footprint. THEON GROUP started its operations in 1997 from Greece and today occupies a leading role in the sector thanks to its international presence through subsidiaries and production facilities in Greece, Cyprus, Germany, the Baltics, the United States, the Gulf States, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, Singapore and South Korea. THEON GROUP has more than 200,000 systems in service with Armed and Special Forces in 71 countries around the world, 26 of which are NATO countries. For the sake of transparency, below are the EU grants & funds from National authorities received by Theon Sensors in Greece (not related to the operations of the EU Affairs Office): Current year of operations (2025): - Horizon/RESCUER (‘first RESponder-Centered support toolkit for operating in adverse and infrastrUcture-less EnviRonments’) - amounting to €4.932,25. - Low-interest loan financing under the NATIONAL RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE PLAN “GREECE 2.0” RRF/NRRP –we do not have the exact calculation of the benefit in interest. The amounting will only be determined after the closing of 2025. Most recent closed financial year (2024): - “WE VENTURE ABROAD – Support for International Promotion of SMEs with an Outward-Looking Orientation” amounting to €50.000. - “Low-interest loan financing under the NATIONAL RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE PLAN “GREECE 2.0” RRF/NRRP* -which includes €90.000 from the difference in interest rates for the subsidized part of the loan. Furthermore, on the estimate of annual costs: The EU Affairs Office of THEON International was established in Brussels on 1 September 2025. Updates will be provided after the closing of a full year of operations.
