Mission & Goals
Pursuant to § 4(3) of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (“Marshall Islands”) Business Corporations Act (“BCA”) and § 103 of the Marshall Islands Maritime Act of 1990 (the “Act”), The Trust Company of the Marshall Islands, Inc. (“TCMI”) is the statutorily appointed as the Marshall Islands Registrar of Corporations for non-resident domestic entities (the “Registrar”) and as the Marshall Islands Maritime Administrator (collectively, the “Administrator”). In addition, pursuant to § 20(2) of the BCA, TCMI is the registered agent for all non-resident domestic entities in the Marshall Islands (the “Registered Agent”).
EU Legislative Interests
In its capacity as the Republic of the Marshall Islands Maritime Administrator and Registrar of Corporations for Non-resident Domestic Entities, TCMI follows policy developments related to international shipping, marine safety, technical compliance, protection of the marine environment, and corporate regulatory compliance. This includes monitoring of the EU sanctions compliance packages, activities of the Code of Conduct Group (business taxation) including the EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes, and maritime, international corporate, or tax governance policies.
