Mission & Goals
The Swedish Horse Industry Foundation (HNS) is a coordinating organisation that works with and for the Swedish equine sector. Our areas of focus include; education, breeding and rearing. HNS has overall responsibility for Sweden’s national equine centres at Flyinge, Strömsholm and Wången. HNS also provides forums for all participants within the Swedish equine sector to come together and work for the common good of the sector.

REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on the protection of animals during transport and related operations, amending Council Regulation (EC) No 1255/97 and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on transmissible animal diseases and amending and repealing certain acts in the area of animal health (Animal Health Law)
Communication Activities
Membership in the European Horse Network, for monitoring and possibility to influence EU legislation with significance for the horse industry. With EHN participate in relevant meetings on EU-level. Collect and summarize points and views from the Swedish horse industry on proposals of new legislation etc.
