Mission & Goals
Sabima is an environmental organization working to stop the loss of biodiversity. We work by proposing political solutions and spreading knowledge about nature. We cooperate closely with other Norwegian NGOs on water environment, living forests, and other topics.
EU Legislative Interests
The Water Framework Directive (Directive 2000/60/EC) The EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance (Regulation (EU) 2020/852) Environmental Delegated Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2486) Climate Delegated Act (Regulation (EU) 2021/2139, Regulation (EU) 2023/2485, and the Complementary Climate Delegated Act (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1214) including Commission Staff Working Documents accompanying the Delegated Regulations and other supplementary acts, such as Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/2178, and forthcoming laws and regulations as they enter into force (such as the Delegated Act amending the Taxonomy Disclosures, Climate and Environmental Delegated Acts as well as the annexes following these Delegated Acts).
Communication Activities
We try to contribute in public hearings and "have your say"-calls for input on these topics. As a non-member state, the EEA-agreement and contacts with the EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA) is also an important channel for us, regarding Norway's implementation of the Water Framework Directive and the EU Taxonomy.
