〇IRHAM (The International Roundtable of Household Appliance Manufacturer Association) : As a member of IRHAM,JEMA is also proactive contributing to the international cooperation network regarding household appliance industries. 〇IEC,ISO: JEMA participates in the deliberation and formulation of international standards (IEC, ISO), in order to contribute to the improvement of quality and technology of electrical machinery. Furthermore, in addition to making sure that Japan's opinions are taken into account in international standards, JEMA also promotes the creation and adoption of compliance assessment systems that are in accordance with international standards. The International standardization organization for the electrotechnical sector, IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) /TC111"Environmental standardization for electrical and electronic products and systems" had chaired by Japan and operates withi n the following scope. JEMA supports the chair and makes make a great contributio n to promoting TC111's activities. https://www.iec.ch/dyn/www/f?p=103:7:617158646672962::::FSP_ORG_ID,FSP_LANG_ID:1314,25 IEC TC 111:Scope Standardization of environmental aspects concerns: -To prepare the necessary guidelines, basic and horizontal standards, including technical reports, in the environmental area (Material Declaration, Test methods of certain substances, Ecodesign, LCA/Carbon footprint, Material efficiency and Circular economy., etc.) etc.), in close cooperation with product committees of IEC, which remain autonomous in dealing with the environmental aspects relevant to their products; -To liaise with product committees in the elaboration of environmental requirements of product standards in order to foster common technical approaches and solutions for similar problems and thus assure consistency in IEC standards; -To liaise with ACEA and ISO/TC 207; -To monitor closely the corresponding regional standardization activities worldwide in order to become a focal point for discussions concerning standardization; -EMC and EMF aspects are excluded from the scope.
