Mission & Goals
The International Automotive Lighting and Light Signalling Expert Group (GTB) is a global group of vehicle lighting experts supporting the “United Nations” (UN) regulatory process through the combination of their experience and skills as vehicle manufacturers, lighting systems manufacturers, light source manufacturers, test laboratories, regulators and academia. GTB brings together the expertise of its global membership to promote safety and to remove unnecessary administrative burden to innovation. GTB facilitates the cooperation of both technical and administrative experts from all disciplines involved in road vehicle lighting and prepares proposals for new or amended regulations and standards that permit the testing, approval and certification of vehicles for the installation of lights, vehicle lighting and light signalling systems and light sources.
