Mission & Goals
Institute for Advanced Studies in Levantine Culture and Civilization are structures that aim for excellence in science, culture and/or education. They are self-established structures, following the initiative of a personality or a small group of specialists with high results, internationally recognized in a certain field. The goal pursued by the initiators is to expand the results of the created field of excellence, so that they have a beneficial impact on society. In their approach, the initiators are aware of the fact that the institutionalized scientific system in universities and research centers, dependent on norms and conditions, cannot support the liberal system promoted by the institutes for advanced studies, in which originality and innovation are basic principles. Due to the way they were established, they are unaccredited structures, therefore not periodically subject to a formal evaluation system, is a Centre of Excellence of the World Academy of Art & Science.

Digital Europe programme; European Excellence initiative; European Research Area; Digital Education Action Plan; Horizon Europe - EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation; Digital Europe Programme - supporting strategic digital transformation initiatives; Higher Education and Lifelong Learning Creative Europe Programme 2021-2027 - Scientific Research Open Science and Open Innovation Culture Compass for Europe Digital Services Act (DSA): Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, which regulates digital services, content moderation, and algorithmic transparency.
Communication Activities

For the first time in Eastern Europe, The Institute will organize The World congress of Syriac studies (august 2026) https://institutlevant.ro/en/ International Conference: New Directions in Contemporary Research- may 2026 This is one of the main interdisciplinary academic events which will focus on new methodological and interdisciplinary research directions.
