Mission & Goals
The Transatlantic Foundation (TF) is the European and EU-registered arm of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), a nonpartisan organisation dedicated to strengthening the transatlantic partnership and delivering policy and convening work in Europe. With offices across Europe and representations in London and Madrid, TF operates as a hub for policy innovation, dialogue, and leadership development. TF’s work centers on strengthening transatlantic security, advancing economic and technological competitiveness and adapting transatlantic relations to a shifting global landscape. TF maintains a network of policymakers, experts, and stakeholders engaged on defence and security, democracy, geopolitics, geoeconomics, China, relations with middle powers, and technology. TF works in Central and Eastern Europe, Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership regions through its long-standing grantmaking, capacity-building, leadership development, networking, and policy initiatives.
