Mission & Goals

The European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT) is a not-for-profit organisation bringing together as its members national treasury and finance professional associations (NTAs) in Europe. The EACT’s main objectives are to promote the treasury profession, support the professional development of treasurers in the NTAs, and advocate on regulatory and other initiatives within the European Union and internationally that impact how treasurers can operate.

EU Legislative Interests

Capital markets legislation, including implementation of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation, implementation of the Benchmarks Regulation, implementation of the Prospectus Regulation, implementation of the Money Market Funds Regulation, implementation of the Markets Abuse Regulation, implementation of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive & Regulation). Payments legislation, including the implementation of the Instant Payments Regulation, proposal for a Payment Services Regulation, proposal for a third Payment Services Directive, proposal for a Regulation on the establishment of the digital euro, implementation of the Interchange Fee Regulation). Anti-Money Laundering legislation, including implementation of Anti-Money Laundering Regulation and the implementation of the Sixth Anti-Money Laundering Directive. Proposal for the establishment of a European Business Wallet. Taxation legislation, including proposal on the Debt-Equity Bias Reduction Allowance, proposal for a Financial Transaction Tax, proposal for Framework on Income Taxation (BEFIT).
